Our new research and development of wireless data transmission equipment test results exceed expectations

In order to adapt to the development of the times and constantly develop new products to meet the needs of the market, the newly developed OFDM two-way wireless transmission link equipment adopts 1.4g as the central frequency point. It has the characteristics of two-way data transmission, strong anti-interference and long transmission distance. In order to further verify its performance, our company carried out outdoor field test in Huizhou. After the test, the equipment performance exceeded the design expectation, and will be officially put into the market soon.

The following are some field test photos and data:

1、 Huizhou Petrochemical Avenue test

Test environment: it is located in the West Shihua Avenue, Daya Bay, Huizhou. The road is basically straight and flat, with green belts and trees in the middle. There are tall buildings on both sides of the road. Buses, goods and cars can pass on the road from time to time.

Transmitter placement:

The transmitter antenna is placed on a 40 cm high cardboard box on the side of the road.

Receiver placement:

The receiving antenna is placed on the car roof (about 1.5m above the ground). The transmitter is fixed and the receiver is driven along the road.

1. The transmission power of 25dbm is tested, and both ends are 45cm long small sucker antennas

Test results: the video is smooth at 950 meters, and still smooth at 1160 meters. At this time, the access node reports (mobile video receiving end): the video is smooth at 950 meters

Main antenna SNR: 0

Secondary antenna SNR: + 3

Conclusion 25dBm Transmission power, the distance from the ground to the roof can reach 1160 meters When there is a large barrier between the transmitting antenna and the receiving antenna (such as a bus), especially when the shield is close to the receiving antenna in the middle of the transmission line, the video signal will be interrupted.

2. Test 2W transmission power, access node to transmit video, vehicle is the central node to receive video. The antenna placement conditions remain unchanged.

A. Test data of the antenna with small suction cups at both ends:

The above test data are not regular because there are trucks blocking the receiving antenna behind the test vehicle or passing through the road of the transmitting end from time to time.

When the test distance reaches 2.2km, the video is smooth (code stream is about 3.8mbps).

B. Both ends are replaced with small FRP antenna (about 16cm long) test data:

When the test distance reaches 1.2km, the video is smooth (code stream is about 3.8mbps).

C. Test data when both ends are replaced by small rubber rod antennas:

When the test distance is about 1.3km, the video is smooth (code stream is about 3.8mbps).

D. The transmitting power is 2W, both ends are rubber rod antennas, but the antenna at the transmitting end is raised to about 1.5m above the ground

At the same distance, when the height of the antenna at the transmitting end is raised to about 1.5 m, the SNR value becomes better.

Conclusion

The transmitting power is 300MW (25dbm). The small suction cup antenna at one end is placed 40cm above the ground, and the small sucker antenna at one end is 1.5m above the ground. When there is no large barrier, the distance is about 1.1km

2 W transmission power, the small sucker antenna at one end is placed 40cm above the ground, and the small sucker antenna at one end is placed 1.5m above the ground. When there is no large barrier, the distance is about 2.2km

2 W transmission power, a small glass fiber reinforced plastic antenna or a rubber rod antenna is placed 40 cm above the ground at one end, and a small glass fiber reinforced plastic antenna or rubber rod antenna at one end is placed 1.5 m above the ground. When there is no large barrier, the distance is about 1.3 km

2、 Remote data transmission test

Between Shenzhen Dameisha and Dapeng Bay

The access node (video transmitter) is located in Dapeng Bay overseas Chinese Cemetery in Dameisha, about 80 meters above sea level. The receiving end is at Guanhu beach of Dapeng Bay, 8530 meters away. The antenna is 2 meters above sea level and the antenna is placed on the beach.

Access node reported data and wireless link speed measurement data obtained from the test:

When the distance is 8530 meters, the SNR of the main and auxiliary antennas of the access node (video transmitter) is about 9-11, and the wireless link rate can be measured stably at 12mbps and 15Mbps. At this time, the SNR of the main and auxiliary antennas of the central node (video receiver) is about 6 ~ 8 (there are many grocery stores near the test point, and the bottom noise is not as good as the transmitter)

Conclusion

2W Transmission power: the transmitter (access node) altitude is 80m (rubber stick antenna), and the receiver (central node) is within 3M above sea level (small sucker antenna), and the distance is 8530m. The wireless link rate can reach 15Mbps (bit error rate is 0%). The SNR of the transmitter is still 9-11, which has great potential to further distance.
